About MTC

Maryland Tech Connection (MTC) is a public private initiative comprised of a coalition of 59 partners led by Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation (AAWDC). MTC seeks to support the talent acquisition and retention needs of IT and bioscience businesses and assist long-term unemployed and underemployed professionals' transition to occupations within these high-demand industries.

MTC is making a positive impact on these talent issues by effectively connecting businesses with qualified junior to high-level candidates through direct hire or train-to-hire opportunities. MTC's geographic areas of coverage include Baltimore City and the Counties of Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Calvert, Carroll, Cecil, Charles, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George’s, and St. Mary’s. Scroll down to view MTC site locations.

Maryland Tech Connection is the fourth largest intiative of its kind nationally.   Due to the strength of its model and number of individuals to be served, MTC has been selected for a rigorous evaluation. This evaluation funded, by the federal government, is being conducted by Abt Associates to help measure how MTC and other similar projects help improve their skills, as well find and keep jobs.  Eligible applicants will be selected by a randomization lottery system to participate in Maryland Tech Connection.  Not all eligible applicants will be selected to participate.
